Grants to Broward County, Florida nonprofit organizations and government agencies for animal welfare initiatives. Funding is intended to enhance programs that prevent overpopulation, increase adoptions, provide necessary treatments, and save the environmental habitats of animals.

The Community Foundation of Broward wants to ensure that Broward’s animals, both wild and domesticated, are treated with respect and live safely without threat, abuse or neglect. The Foundation seeks to support organizations that ensure humane and sustainable solutions, which have the potential to end animals suffering from deprivation, abuse, neglect, and maltreatment. Successful proposals are creative and demonstrate measurable outcomes in one or more of the following areas:

  • Increase the number of animals that are spay/neutered.
  • Increase the number of animals living safely after finding a forever home through adoption.
  • Provide animals in need with medical treatments, rehabilitation and save environments.
