Funding is intended to support initiatives that make the arts more accessible to diverse audiences, particularly the underserved and economically disadvantaged. Programs must benefit the residents of Broward and Palm Beach Counties, and organizations must be located and operate in the Southeast Florida area.

Additional criteria include programs that:

  • Reach diverse audiences, particularly the underserved, and/or economically disadvantaged.
  • Offer an innovative approach to engaging and building hard-to-reach audiences in imaginative ways.
  • Make the arts more approachable, accessible, and part of everyday life.
  • Utilize technology and other methods of outreach to effectively promote the program and extend its reach.
  • Offer distinct opportunities to increase PNC’s community recognition via audience, media, or promotional exposure.

PNC Arts Alive programming demonstrates that there is an artistic outlet for everyone, regardless of age, economic background, skill level, and taste. Pop-up performances, mobile arts vans, and the use of unusual venues are among the many initiatives supported through PNC Arts Alive.
