Grant Description
Grants of up to $25,000 to Florida nonprofit organizations in eligible locations to support programs that address community needs. Funding is intended to support programs that benefit residents with disabilities, improve education for youth and children, and support and expand safety net programs. Funding must benefit Putnam County.

Projects should be serving Putnam County exclusively and address one of the following focus areas. 

  • Requests can be made for up to $25,000 to: 
    • Support and expand safety net programs serving Putnam County
    • Improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, including Veterans and First Responders with service-related disabilities
  • Requests can be made for up to $10,000 to: 
    • Expand access to quality out-of-school time programs for children and youth focused on academic progress, physical well-being, emotional health and related positive youth development areas

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility:
- Active 501(c)(3) status, and a 2-year work history

Ineligible
Funding is not intended to provide ongoing operational support.

They are not able to fund:
- Fundraising event sponsorships
- School fundraising organizations (PTAs, boosters, etc)
- Programs promoting religious beliefs*
- Requests outside of Putnam County

Pre-Application Information
Timeline
- January 2, 2024: Grants application process opens.
- January 2, 2024 – February 9, 2024: Assistance is available from the grantmaking staff. If you need assistance with applying—either in-person, virtual, or by phone—please submit your appointment request.
- February 15, 2024: Applications due
- April 24, 2024: Notified of grant decision
- Grant projects must occur between May 1, 2024 and April 30, 2026

Estimated Size of Grant
The maximum grant request amount ranges from $10,000 to $25,000, depending on the focus area of the request.

Term of Contract
Requests can be made for one or two years. The total for a two-year request cannot exceed the maximum request amount.
