We are committed to increase stroke awareness in our community. Our goal is to help decrease the number of people who die yearly as a result of stroke by increasing stroke awareness in populations identified as being at high risk; Providing resources to families caring for young adults recovering from a stroke; Providing support groups to parents and siblings who have suffered the loss of a loved one due to stroke; Targeting young adults and providing resources and preventative programs; Supporting the education of college students pursuing a profession in nursing or medicine through mentoring and financial assistance. Our primary programs include: Community Stroke Awareness and Prevention Education Programs, Annual Health Fair, and Annual Scholarship to students pursuing a degree in nursing or medicine.
