Grant Description
Grants to Florida local agencies, municipalities, EMS organizations, and youth athletic organizations for programs and projects related to public health and safety. Funding is intended for community education, conducting research, evaluation, injury-prevention programs, increasing existing levels of emergency medical services, and training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other lifesaving and first aid techniques.

Local agencies, municipalities, emergency medical services organizations, and youth athletic organizations can apply.

Pre-Application Information
Deadline: Florida Department of Health’s EMS Section should receive your completed application by Friday, February 16, 2024.

Matching Grants:
Matching grants are contingent upon the recipient providing a cash sum equal to 25 percent of the total grant amount approved by the Department.

Rural Grants:
No more than 10 percent of the monies are available to rural EMS agencies. These monies may also be used for improvement, expansion, or continuation of services provided. For example, if an agency is awarded $10,000, the Department would provide $9,000 (90%) to the agency, and the recipient’s required contribution would be $1,000 (10%).
